This is not a diary of events arranged in chronological order, nor is it a continuous autobiography. It is less and it is more, or rather, it is better than these. (1802 - 1885) Poeta, dramaturgo y novelista francés. Comenzó a escribir poesía y obras de teatro desde joven y llegó a convertirse en el máximo exponente del Romanticismo francés y maestro del movimiento en el mundo. Entre los años 1829-1843 escribió libros de gran éxito. Victor Hugo también destacó como activista político y social, luchando por los derechos humanos y la justicia.
