John Quinn is a twenty-five year old college graduate with impending student loans and no immediate job prospects. On a whim, he decides to advertise his listening skills in hopes of earning some quick cash. John's advertisement attracts the notice of Agnes Hutch, a reclusive elderly woman. Once John meets with Agnes, his views on life inspire her to make him beneficiary of her sizable estate on the grounds that John "pay forward" his good will to other people. John's vision becomes an unexpected worldwide phenomenon, and he struggles with becoming an overnight celebrity. Along his journey, John's vision inspires several individuals, among them a widower, a suicidal teenager and a man that is blind and gay to look outside of their circumstances and see the potential that every person possesses. Through the characters' faith, hardships, and interconnected circumstances, they come to realize how unpredictable life can be and that yes, You Never Know.
