Brother Bobby has had so many blessings in his life. He has a beautiful family. He has a supportive and loving wife. He has a blossoming career as a minister. He even has a new assignment with the Wyota Baptist Church. The only thing Bobby hasn't been blessed with is peace of mind. There are strange happenings surrounding Wyota Baptist, and Bobby has been dissuaded from getting involved by the church's all-powerful deacons. As the seventies come to a head, Americans all over the country are finally confronting the ugly legacies of slavery and racism. However, many members of Wyota Baptist believe in fighting these dramatic cultural changes instead of embracing them. Under the guise of concerned citizens, prominent town members persecute and harass the African American population. This prejudice isn't the only sin lurking in the depths of Wyota Baptist, and Bobby will uncover the church's most shocking secrets. Bobby wants to be a good man, but he is beginning to believe that a good man is hard to find among the congregants at church. Here, doing the right thing will be unimaginably difficult, and it may cause Bobby to lose everything he has worked so hard to build.
