In the post apocalyptic world of Mirantha, the young village Smith finds satisfaction in his work. Through his hands metals flow like magic and settle into the shapes in his mind's eye. Into his idyllic world a band of Gypsies appears seeking his services to mend various metal fittings that have been damaged in their travels through the near forgotten byways of the world. Rosita, the daughter of the band's leader catches the Smith's eye and he falls under the spell of his love for her. Follow these two young people as they fight against this bond of love and fall into the clutches of the terrible Tunnel Master. Watch as they are manipulated and changed by the warped science of long past technologies. Join with them as they struggle together and apart finding their destinies and realizing their love for one another. This is a classic science fiction fantasy that mixes robots, biological experiments, werewolves, horsepeople and the destiny of a planet.
