Computers and Software technology are quintessential today - but rarely of enough interest for everyone to learn it. Business leaders / managers often give it a miss, some are able to understand how technology works but some don't 'get' even that much. Tech today is like the Nitrogen we breathe - 78% of air but barely noticed. However, without nitrogen, we'd not even exist. And just the same, without technology today a majority of businesses and business processes would fall to bits. This is aimed at business leaders / managers who - despite not coming from a tech background - need to either manage a team of techies or wish to understand the scope of tech today. I try in this book to give you a basic understanding of the capabilities and limitations of modern business focused technology, so it's probably a valuable read for any manager or leader in today's techno-centric world. Furthermore, a good technologist who has realized that business and tech need to go hand in hand - and wishes to bridge the gap between their technical skills and the business - will likely benefit significantly. I hope that this will help you identify potential knowledge gaps and generate enough clarity to 'know what you don't know'. At the very least, you'll be able to tell when your techie is bluffing - and potentially mitigate scenarios that could waste the most valuable resource we all have - time.
