Sign of the Seed begins with the Templeton Police Department in the midst of its annual Christmas robbery season. During his patrol duties, veteran Officer Jeramy Doodeman witnesses numerous situations which demonstrate other people's faith through signs of the seeds of faith. About the Author Don Deputy is a retired police officer who had to endure thirty-seven years in police work with an unusual name. Twenty-three of those years were served as a detective, seven of which as Captain in charge of the Investigations Division. Deputy was his department's Public Information Officer for twenty years, duties of which included communicating with, and being interviewed by, both the print and television news media. He has investigated everything from the theft of a hamburger to police action shootings. Deputy was honored as the Officer of the Year for his police department twice. Two incidents he investigated landed in the Indiana Supreme Court ending with favorable outcomes. One of his homicide investigations came to a successful conclusion after a short segment on the popular television show, America's Most Wanted.
