Reseña del libro "Scrumnastics: Successfully Lead And Manage Remote, In-Office, & Hybrid Teams Using Scrum 2020 (en Inglés)"

Scrumnastics - 1 book 5 courses! This book is meant for YOU if: You are a one-man-band/'solopreneur.' - You have just won a big contract and you really need to lead and manage a team REALLY well to get it done. Your boss calls you on a Friday and says "Steve Manager has just gone on long term sick and I'd like you to manage his team, starting Monday!" (And you have never managed anyone before...) You just want to manage your remote team better. Course 1. "Leadernomics: " - Learn how to lead. Why? Before you lead a team, you have to know how to lead one person. Better led companies prosper, badly led ones don't. Course 2. "Scrumnastics - Guerrilla Management Not Gorilla Management: " Covers how to get up and running with Agile management, - specifically Scrum. Why? Great management electrifies your people and inspires them to do great things. Bad management as good as electrocutes them, so they achieve very little. Management is management - it will also be of use to you whether we go back to the office full time, or work in some form of a hybrid. 3. "Scrumnastics ++" - Covers these three topics: i). Advanced Scrum: How to Grow And Co-ordinate Multiple Teams With Multiple Levels Of Management. ii). Using GDS's Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live And Retirement Phases For Risk Management. iii). The Pathway to Lean Management. Course 4. "Lights! Sound! Cameras! Action!" -Using On-line technologies in the best ways. Course 5. A Kanban Mini Course - When You Really Need To Keep The Lights On. Nick Hewyn Holmes has been doing Scrum since 1995 and running completely remote Scrum teams since 2016. Nick was the EMEA project manager for the first rollout of remote offices for a global company, back in 1996. He was programme manager for the Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency's 15 million removal of the 40+ million paper driving licences, and MOT 2 (30+ million vehicles annually). He even uses Scrum to run rock bands. If he can do this for his rock stars, then you know he knows how to get you to run your rock stars. Nick has been doing this since 1995, where he learned it while consulting at Panasonic Europe. He's been doing Lean and Scrum since then, and he has been running teams that work remotely on a full-time basis since 2016. He has worked offering management consultancy for the Bank Of England, Barclaycard, HSBC, Ministry of Defence, Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency, Department for Education, MoD, Dow Chemical, IBM, Cognos, Astra Pharmaceuticals, Avon, Boots, Boehringer-Ingelheim, ICI, Christian Salvesen, Royal National Pension Fund For Nurses, Zurich Re, Co-operative Insurance Services, Thomas Cook Travel and Panasonic Europe, amongst others. Nick was the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Project Manager for the EMEA part of the world-wide, and first rollout of remote working sales office service for a Global company in 1996. His territory was every office in every major city between Dublin and Moscow and from Stockholm down to Cairo. The project he is most proud of is "The Project That Never Was...", where he got a retired civil service 'mandarin, ' to persuade a FTSE company to make a free-to-use job site for teachers and schools by suggesting that the Department for Education was about to do its own service, and in doing so, destroy so their billion-pound business model. (It's at the back of the book). As he says, the very, very best projects are 80% psychology and 20% workology... These days he runs his own teams, and trains, coaches and mentors online teams for clients. He has a absurd passion for aluminium-bodied Jaguar V8s and tries his very best not to die horribly when sailing off the coast of the United Kingdom.
