Maurice and Bula Dell were young Tennesseans called to do big things for the Lord, and it would require a lifetime of their reliance upon God's faithfulness. Having made the willing, yet thoughtful decision to accept God's call, they traveled to Burma to begin working as Christian missionaries. Events of World War II forced them to evacuate separately, not knowing where or when they would ever find each other again. Through a series of awe-inspiring events, God planted them in Ramapatnam, South India. He used the following years to grow them in ways that would help fulfill His purposes in that part of the world. Bula Dell's 1940's American dream of honeysuckle and roses around their front door was traded for beautiful eternal "blossoms" of new believers at Heaven's door.
