Martin Aigner (Linz, 28 de febrero de 1942 – Berlín, 11 de octubre de 2023) fue un matemático austríaco especializado en combinatoria y teoría de grafos. Obtuvo su doctorado en la Universidad de Viena y, desde 1974, fue profesor en la Freie Universität Berlin, donde desempeñó un papel clave en el desarrollo de la matemática discreta y la informática en la institución. A lo largo de su carrera, recibió reconocimientos como el Premio Lester R. Ford en 1996 y el Premio Leroy P. Steele en 2018, este último compartido con Günter M. Ziegler por su destacada labor en divulgación matemática.

Entre sus obras más influyentes se encuentra Proofs from THE BOOK (1998), coescrito con Ziegler y traducido al español como El libro de las demostraciones. Este libro recopila demostraciones matemáticas notables por su elegancia y claridad, inspiradas en la idea de Paul Erdős sobre un libro divino que contiene las mejores pruebas matemáticas. Otras publicaciones destacadas de Aigner incluyen Graphentheorie (1984), Diskrete Mathematik (1993) y A Course in Enumeration (2007), todas ellas centradas en la matemática discreta y la combinatoria.
