In 2010 and 2011, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team won back-to-back national championships, an accomplishment won by only six other teams in the 68-year College World Series. In 2012, a few veteran players returned to try for a three-peat a feat completed once only by Southern California in 1972.
