Olivier Clément (1921–2009) fue un teólogo y escritor francés, convertido al cristianismo ortodoxo a los treinta años tras una profunda búsqueda espiritual influenciada por autores como Dostoievski y Berdiaev. Profesor en el Instituto de Teología Ortodoxa Saint-Serge de París, se destacó por su compromiso con el diálogo ecuménico y su participación como observador laico en el Concilio Vaticano II. Fue también doctor honoris causa por el Instituto Teológico de Bucarest y la Universidad Católica de Lovaina .

Autor prolífico en los géneros de teología, espiritualidad y ensayo, sus obras más destacadas en español incluyen Aproximación a la oración (1986), La Iglesia Ortodoxa (1990), Dios es simpatía (2011), Los rostros del Espíritu (2015), La alegría de la resurrección (2016), Teopoética del cuerpo (2017) y Cristo, tierra de los vivos (2024) .
