This is a collection of "bad art" - color photos of paintings and drawings and their accompanying wall texts. Over the past 3 years, the authors have prowled thrift stores, flea markets, sidewalk rejects and garage sales looking for treasured freaks, irregulars, defects, and oddities. Each of these castoff gems have been honored with accession numbers, imaginative titles and fictitious artists, as well as interpretive descriptions, stories or critiques. This visual offering may be seen as a creative "pep talk" as it attempts to put the learning process in perspective while encouraging all art lovers to see the humor that is inherent in many failed creative attempts.
