Reseña del libro "Let's Discuss The Battle Of Flamborough Head. With John Paul Jones (en Inglés)"

The Battle of Flamborough Head is the most significant naval battle in American History.

Many accounts of the battle have been published over nearly 250 years, but most have been written by people who weren't there.
Often historians want to tell you what they think and will use comments, by those present, to support their viewpoint. I always wonder, "What else did they say apart from this excerpt you've given me?" and then, "what did the other people who saw the battle think happened?"

I want to see the controversial moments from all angles.

In this compilation I have gathered the accounts of the eye witnesses written within days of the battle.

So John Paul Jones had a viewpoint, So did the English Captains, Pearson and Piercy. There were four ships in the Franco-American Squadron. What did the other Captains in the group think happened? We even have the testimony of sailors onboard the Bonhomme Richard and letters from people living in the area, who spoke of the events surrounding the battle.

Each deserve to be heard.

I have reproduced their letters for you to make up your own decisions about what happened.

I've added my own observations and invite you to email me with your insights so that future editions can include clearer interpretations of the letters and understanding of the events.
