When the government's ruthless solution to an overwhelmed National Health Service is to start treating patients like farm animals, the British public is thrust into unimaginable chaos. Caught in the crossfire is Dougie Warren, an ex-rugby player and fiercely principled Yorkshire slaughterhouse worker. Beside him is Boris, a wildly pompous and dangerously unqualified trainee butcher. While the two protagonists may not agree on politics, their chaotic friendship leads them to the centre of a national scandal.
