Thought-provoking... quick read. The perception the author shows into so many lives is truly amazing. This book is such a delight to read. The author allows the reader's mind to quickly wander to other places, other times, with descriptive characters and meaningful dialog that is such a treat. Have you ever wandered through a graveyard, noting names and dates and musing the life that person led? There is an incalculably high number of people lost to history. They might have been an exceptional person in their time, in their family, but forgotten like the winds of last winter. Alas, a typical person would only be remembered by a few dozen people after they passed from this life unless they were famous, infamous, or otherwise in the public eye. Some special ones had statues or paintings marking their life. Today, we have Social Media that can give anyone a voice or presence, regardless of missing talent or timing. In this collection of short stories, some vital memory from someone you will never meet continues after this author's time. Let the small, the forgotten, the "never were" have some tiny place in history in the collected memories.
