Andy Mientus es actor y escritor. Su carrera como actor comenzó cuando protagonizó Spring Awakening en la primera compañía de gira nacional. Hizo su debut en Broadway en una reposición de Los Miserables en el 2014.

En el 2014, también fue elegido como El Flautista en la serie The Flash de CW.

En el 2017, Burn All Night, un musical que Mientus ayudó a escribir, se estrenó en el American Repertory Theatre en Cambridge, Massachusetts.

En 2018, se anunció que Mientus había escrito una serie de ficción llamada The Backstagers, basada en la serie de cómics del mismo nombre. El primer volumen, The Backstagers and The Ghost Light, se publicó más tarde ese año.
