Reseña del libro "Formula For Murder (en Inglés)"

Formula for Murder is a unique crime/detective story in that it does not just tell you who the murder is, but throughout the book you are given the clues that will lead you to the killer. You will have the same information the world-class investigator, Lucy Garcia, has in real-time. Test your investigative ability and compete with Lucy in unraveling the mysterious deaths. You will begin in Harrison, NY where a twelve-year-old boy is sitting in an ambulance watching his house burn to the ground. Both his parents die in the fire unable to wake and run to safety due to excessive consumption of sleeping pills. Michael, the twelve-year-old boy is suspected of arson, but there is not any proof that can be found to support Detective Frank Polansky's theory. If Michael is guilty, the fire was very cleverly planned, which is possible, since Michael's IQ is at the genius level. Michael is put in temporary custody of his only living blood relative, Vivian Anderson. Vivian takes Michael to live with her. Vivian lives in the upper class town of Lake Forest, Il. with her husband William and son Stephen. Lake Forest is a very peaceful town. Except for an occasional bicycle being stolen or shop lifting case now and then, Lake Forest was virtually crime free. Stephen, Michael' new big brother has given his mother more than what would be considered a normal share of problems and is diagnosed as a mild sociopath. He has been expelled from several schools banned from school activities and now attends LFHS where he was thrown off the team due to his violent nature. Michael, although only twelve will start his sophomore year at LFHS. The same level Stephen is in, only that Michael will be in the Honors Program. He jumped two grades in grade school. Even before the end of the summer vacations, before classes started. Micheal was bullied by Raymond Banks, the official school bully and captain of the football team. It didn't bother Michael, but infuriated Stephen. Michael passed the remains of the summer vacations with his new found friend, Janice. Janice was also a nerd and would be in the same classes with Michael. Janice was Michael's first friend in his twelve years of existence. Shortly after classes began, Raymond was found dead in the nearby woods. He had been stung by thousands of bumble bees and his death was believed to be accidental. However, the medical examiner, DR. Harry Shultz, an apiculturist of many years, discovers that the death although was caused by multiple bee sting, was not accidental. It was a very carefully and ingeniously planned homicide. Detective John Carter was signed to the case. Captain Murdock of the LFPD, knew that this case would be over John's head. The only possibility of solving this case would be to call in Lucy Garcia to assist John. Lucy had just returned from giving a lecture in Washington, DC at the FBI convention and was free at the moment. Lucy has assisted police departments throughout the world; FBI, Interpol, Scotland Yard and many more. Lucy was glad to be of assistance and went to work on the case immediately. John and Lucy had good chemistry and enjoyed working together. During the investigation of Raymond's death, which was running cold for lack of evidence, another seemingly accident occurred. Lucy's experience told her that was also not an accident, but in fact another home. So astute where the murders, that there was no evidence left behind to capture the perpetrator. A trap would have to be set where the perp would unveil himself and confess. The clues are there. Do you dare compete with Lucy and discover the killer before she does?
