The debut memoir by the Portland-based Jessica Pedrosa, niece of the famed Lorna Doom, bassist for the legendary LA punk band The Germs.

Encircle is many things: memoir, punk history, art book, road novel. Upon the death of Lorna Doom, bassist of seminal punk band the Germs, Jessica Pedrosa learns Doom was her aunt. After extensive research, Pedrosa embarks on a road trip, visiting destinations important to the Germs and 1970s L.A. punk scene, piecing together her aunt’s life, seeking comprehension and often finding herself going in circles.
