The current pandemic and the major socio-political changes in the US since 2019 are all interwoven.Author Alexander Suslov has lived in Europe and the United States, including Las Vegas, where much of his latest book takes place. A graduate of Georgetown University, he currently lives in the south of France, where he is working on the second installment of DEAD SOULS AWAKENING. He also draws from his childhood experience in the then-Soviet Union. He notes: "Growing up on the 'wrong' side of the Iron Curtain, I personally witnessed life in an authoritarian state where basic human rights were suppressed in the name of state security." Like dystopian classics 1984 and A Clockwork Orange, this is a warning about how quickly history can repeat itself anywhere in the world at any time.
