IS THIS A SELF-HELP BOOK? This is not a self-help book. However, it is how I helped myself cope with the illness that tried to rob me of my life. Some of you are reading my book because you have followed my blog, and for that, I am thankful for the support you've extended. You're all family. Hundreds of my fellow Crohnies put their trust in me and allowed me to speak for them when they had no voice. I thank you for entrusting me with some of your hardest and challenging times. Some of you may be reading this book, on the toilet, during a flare; others may be reading it because you just found out your child was diagnosed, or some may be trying to get information to help family or friends diagnosed with the same condition. I blogged, weekly, about Crohn's and I was also writing this book at the same time. So, for the people who don't enjoy reading long chapters, I thought, "Let's turn my blog into a book." Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, "Crohn's Disease, the other C WORD." ***** Whoever you are, stay strong, stay confident as fuck, and remember...you have a friend in Providence, Rhode Island.
