Have you ever noticed as parent how much easier it is to have your children in the kitchen helping you then to turn them away and tell them to occupy themselves otherwise? Children are hungry to learn, and they are also hungry all the time. They love to snack, they love food, and, in most cases, they love to cook. But, they must learn from somewhere and what better example is there than being taught from their mom or dad. So, make some room in your kitchen for your children. If you have more than one, you might want to organize cooking sessions based on their age group (we will talk more about that in the conclusion section). During your child's development, you are teaching them many life skills and cooking is certainly one of them. You will proud and sometimes even be impressed how quickly they pick it up and the next thing you know on Mother's Day, you will get served a full 5 courses meal. One thing I would recommend is to be very patient. They will make mistakes at first and plenty of mess. They will crack eggs and drop shells into the cake batter or flour all over the floor. But you should remember, you had to start somewhere as well, so this activity would be perfect for helping build their self-confidence. This cookbook will not only show you that it is wonderful to be cooking with kids but give you many fun and delicious recipes to try at home.
