This book starts off with the experience of a soldier in a war-torn country. The trauma he could not overcome later dictated his married life. It also tells the intimate struggle of a young woman through cancer. It lets the reader glimpse at her life as an attractive and independent single woman to her married life which gradually robbed her of her true identity. Consequently, she realized that she had to pull through alone when the man she adored and looked up to showed his true self. She was left bewildered. Just when she hit rock bottom, it suddenly dawned on her that the only way left.... was the way up. The road to recovery and reclaiming her identity was long and hard, but she pulled through with the patience and support of those who love her.
