The next morning, his mother finds Tom his first client, Claire Peterson, a dying elderly woman next door. Claire wants to know the truth about her great-granddaughter's murder and Tom is just the man for the case. Failure, frustration, and near-death do not deter Tom as he solves the case, in Thin Man style.In part two, Tom is famous-and rich! Solving that case has made Tom famous, and the father of the murder victim gives him a million dollars. Life, for the first time in his miserable life, is good for Tom. But now, someone is trying to kill Tom ... Who? ... Why? To find out, Tom must become a P. I.-Again!
