Eventually returned to Madeira, Lynn and David pursue their quest, surreptitiously followed by the Telamian agents, who in turn are tailed by a CIA operative when an informant reports the palace meeting. Colossal misunderstandings set the stage for humor, while interactions among Lynn and David, the foreign agents, General Alaz, multi-millionaire Jonathan Kingsley, Academy Award-winning Hollywood actress Natalie Forthright, Lynn's husband Patrick, and other memorable characters bring a tear or two to the eye at the reality underlying the page-turner plot.
