This Novel "the Volunteer" is about the heartwarming joys and heartbreaking sorrows you would and could experience when volunteering to help someone in need, someone not related to you, meeting for the first time. You'll find out that when helping someone, you really also are helping yourself. Although this is a Novel, the 30+ story experiences described, some may remind you of similar accounts in your life, or may ring a bell with you with some experiences you encountered in the life of your loved ones or friends. These 30+ stories are linked together by a single story about a widower volunteer who is coping with the loss of his beloved wife, the anguish, the agony of continuing on and leading a purposeful meaningful life without his wife, his struggle with humor, guilt feelings and religion. The purpose of this story is hopefully that after reading, you'll consider becoming a volunteer in some capacity, either by donating your time or your money or both. If this Book is financially successful, a major portion of the profits will be donated to Children and Animal Charitable Organizations, in honor of my late wife Alieda.
