Pied-Bot, the half-Airedale, a half-Mackenzie hound named Peter, is torn between the two and adamant about defending them both from any foes-human or animal. This is a touching story of the love and bravery of a man, a woman, and their adorable dog, Peter. In a "fair fight," Sergeant Cassidy of the Royal Northwest Mounties pursues Jolly Roger into the wilderness of northern Canada. Each participant takes turns defeating the other. Jolly Roger moves toward his friends in the Cree tribe while Cassidy pursues him closely. There, his good buddy Yellowbird tells him that he will see Nada again in "The Country Beyond," a location that is still undiscovered.
