P, Vol. 1 of 2Soon after Mr. Horner's death, in the spring of 1817, his family and more intimate friends were desirous that a biographical memoir of him should be published, ample materials for such a work having been found. He left several papers in his own handwriting, which disclosed many interesting circumstances in his early life and education, and others which threw light on the history of his later years.
