The Tower is created by two opposing forces; light, and dark; angels, and demons. The Word creates life; evil destroys life by disguising itself as The Word. Three ingredients are needed to make a person a monster; 1) make sure he is unable to develop into a mature adult, thereby eliminating the possibility of a superego developing; 2) enable him feel as if he's entitled to sit on a "throne"; so he thinks of himself as being above the law; a Nietzsche "Superman"; 3) construct an environment that reinforces ingredients (1), and (2). Once these three ingredients are cemented within a society the inevitable result is population of tyrants who get a thrill from killing people.
