She was ordained in the American Baptist Churches and served United Methodist churches for six years. Her first book, "Chop! Chop! Chaplain" describes ministry in a beef processing plant where she worked as a chaplain for 8 years. The mix of cultures, religions, and people swirl into unconventional and unexpected stories of real people. She authored "Red Sky" a sci-fi Christian novel about the hot-button topic of abortion. A team of stem cell researchers, blood falling from the sky, the corporate bottom line, strides in medicine, Lincoln and Cici's forever love, politics, and heart-rending decisions leave the reader's heart grappling. Then add a few facts scattered like sprinkles over a cupcake, but not as appetizing, and it's a one-of-a-kind story. She and husband of 29 years have two adult daughters: a baker and a teacher. Don't forget their three rescue fur babies: Aussie/Corgi dog Thomas, calico cat Emmy and tiger cat Maximus.
