Reseña del libro "Climate - C02 Nature's Gift (en Inglés)"

The appalling events in the Ukraine have shocked Western democracies. Yet this disaster has allowed reality to assume its dominion over wishful thinking. All but the most obsessed will know that we must regain self sufficiency in energy - energy that is abundant and affordable. This can only be guaranteed by exploiting the fossil fuels that lie under the surface of our land and seas in the knowledge that emissions of CO2 can only be of benefit to all humanity. We are paying a crushing ransom to the cult of 'Climate Change'.For 20 years our governments have prescribed and enforced the abandoning of our own reserves of coal, oil and gas for generation of electricity. They have deprived the UK of energy self sufficiency. They have exposed us to uncontrollable soaring prices for gas on global markets. No adequate, secure and reliable energy source is available at economic cost. Vast subsidies alone sustain wind and sun power imposing heavy levies on all households.Electricity that depends on atmospheric pressure is inadequate both in reliability, efficiency and cost. It cannot be stored. Sun panels depend on absence of cloud cover. There is no power for half the year. Wind turbines depend on the right wind velocity. In storms and on days of high pressure they are of no use. We depend on gas to maintain supply.Biomass combustion is carbon based. It burns wood and wood residues, agricultural residues, waste from industry, farms and households. There is no reduction in emissions. It is all imported. 20 train loads of pellet arrive daily at the Drax power plant alone. In 2020 just 13.7% of UK primary energy was from low carbon sources1. Only 4.7% of power generation was provided by wind and sun power. Yet subsidies now inflict on households, commerce and industry a levy of at least 25%. Since 2000 UK oil production has fallen by 62% with gas down by 65% and coal down by 94%.This grave and desperate predicament has not been inflicted by war. It has not been dictated by exhaustion of resources. It has been imposed without national debate. It has been brought down upon us solely by unquestioned submission to the dogma of global warming which has banished all scientific enquiry and which tolerates no dissent. It depends on a single great falsehood - that CO2 is a pollutant that acts as a 'blanket' to 'trap' the Earth's heat causing dangerous warming that imperils the very existence of humanity. It is that colossal falsehood that this book seeks to expose. CO2 provides the food of plants and so of all humans and animals. By photosynthesis in plants it produces all the oxygen we breathe. It keeps Earth's temperature in natural balance. If CO2 more than doubled no warming effect would be noticed. It would create surplus food for all.CO2 is Nature's great gift to humanity.
