But, after Adam and Eve sinned, embarrassment, shame, and awkwardness followed, creating barriers between themselves and God. We often experience these same barriers in marriage. In marriage, lack of spiritual, emotional, and intellectual intimacy usually precedes a breakdown of physical intimacy.
