Reseña del libro "Bashing Authors with Negative Reviews and Feeling Fully Justified: Trashing Writers of Bad Books for Fun and Self Confidence (en Inglés)"

NOTE: This (comedic) book was part of a series I wrote regarding book reviews, to gauge reader responses. It is a "tongue in cheek", "comedic" written work and "Fredrick Doyle Wimberley" is a fictitious author. I waited to add this part of the book's description, until I could see how it was received by readers. I am impressed with the reader-responses it has already received. Unfortunately, in spite of being a comedic work, it does reflect actual practices and attitudes by a sub-set -- small percent of authors and reviewers. They have brought more attention to their selves in recent months. This book can be enjoyable if the reader knows in advance that it is tongue-in-cheek, intended to give its readers a few laughs on the book reviewers and indie authors subject. The book is also a section found in my 3-part book titled: "Wars Between Book Reviewers and Authors" (Recipient of a 5-star review by a top Amazon Book Reviewer -- a person I do not know online or otherwise but I am grateful for their highly favorable, well-written review. *They understood the purpose of the series.*). Sample From The Book: Some readers might think this is going to be another crackpot book, written by some bitter person who has nothing better to do, than to vent his frustrations toward people who are not actually his problem. ... I'm not some bitter guy, I just don't like seeing all of these so called "authors" out there publishing their trashy little books. I'm not talking about sexy novels either because those are probably the best thing going. I'm referring to books that don't meet a quality standard that we book reviewers know to be required for somebody to claim they have reached the level of being an actual author. I have reviewed lots of books that are trashy with their grammar and their punctuating and with their spelling. These do not get past me without a bash review being placed on them. I simply won't let them pass through my screening gates because they don't deserve to be recognized as books worthy of being read. I sometimes have authors respond to my bash reviews, telling me that the misspelling typos I mention being found throughout their book, shouldn't be the case because they ran their book through some word-check or error-check programs but that doesn't mean squat! Those programs can be very unreliable and if they really want their book checked for spelling mistakes, they need to get an experienced editor involved or better yet an entire publishing company staff! The Chapters: First Chapter: I'm Really Not a Bad Person, I Just Don't Like Some Books! Second Chapter: Watching the Trends by Keeping Up with Group Members Third Chapter: I Never Thought Becoming a Reviewer Would Be So Easy! Fourth Chapter: Hints for Writing Bash Reviews for Trashing Inferior Authors My Closing Thoughts (Who is Fredrick Doyle Wimberly? -- Look up my book titled "Wars Between Book Reviewers and Authors" and find out.) ____________________________________________________________________ **The History Behind My Comedy/Satire Books: While my largest base of book titles are on health disorder subjects, I also have a significant number of business-related titles published, as well as many on Christian Bible theology. Some people may believe that an author who writes on serious subjects, should not write comedy books because this can discredit them to an extent. Why would this be the case? Should readers rather believe that serious subject writers like myself, who write on subjects such as Christian faith, cannot display the very human trait of a sense of humor? On another point I would mention that with these short humor books, I am also throwing the comedy at controversial subjects, which helps to quell the negative rhetoric they often produce (i.e. exaggerated male and female stereotypes, reviewer and author wars and evolution versus creationism). ALSO SEE my comedy titles under pen name "Percyvelle Pennington III"
