Working as a Casting Director has allowed me to observe the many frequent mistakes actors make during the audition process. Mistakes that hurt their chances of being selected for a call back audition or booked on a project. I realized the biggest reasons for these mistakes are lack of knowledge about the audition process and fear of the unknown. The industry is always looking for new faces to fill their roles so I felt the need to write a very simple step by step book that walks the new actor through the actual audition process and eliminates the fear of the unknown. Actors will learn how to use their own personality, traits, looks, characteristics when going after roles. They will learn to be themselves during the audition process and not who they wish they were. Learning the ins and outs from the moment you receive your audition notice to the actual audition process will eliminate fears and build confidence in you as an actor. This book also offers sample scripts, headshot samples as well as simple resume formatting guidelines which are necessary tools of the trade. Clients will begin to appreciate you as an actor rather than focus on your lack of experience and hopefully you will be the solution to their next project!
