Book one in the Amelia Maylock Chronicles. -- Little did Amelia know, as she dressed for school on a normal Friday morning at the beginning of March, her life would soon change, forever. -- Suddenly, it spoke again. Once she was clear of the alleyway, back on the house lined streets, Amelia's nerves finally allowed her to stop running. In the park, a few feet from where Amelia had stood, scared, up against the fence a couple of minutes before, the ground rippled, as if made of water. It happened once, then disappeared completely. -- Amelia soon learns many magical truths, visits enchanted worlds, and comes face-to-face with powerful enemies. She must find courage and realise her crucial importance for the dark times ahead.
