In the 28thchapter of Exodus God instructs Moses Ex 28:1 "Then bring near to yourself Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, to minister as priest to Me-Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons." In the 29th chapter of Exodus God instructs Moses Ex 29:1 "Now this is what you shall do to them to consecrate them to minister as priest to me" The book of Leviticus details how the Levitical priests are to perform their duties to God and man. God is specific about the offerings and their selection as an atonement for sin. Not just any animal or grain offering will do. The Priesthood was also given instructions on what to do if a Person or the Congregation Sins Inadvertently, Deception, guilt and peace offerings, dietary restrictions, circumcision and purification, and the Law of Leprosy and its cleansing. The Annual Purification Ritual, Offerings Location, and the Eating of Blood are forbidden. Sexual Relations, Social and Cultic Regulations, Tattoo Marks on yourself, Transgressions Punishable by Death, the Jubilee Years, and the Rewards of Obedience or Consequences of Disobedience are delineated.
