This book is intended to inspire compassion and empathy in readers of all ages through the story of the life of a real dog named Bernie. The book also shines a light on the work of a non-profit organization, Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, located on the coast of Central California. Peace of Mind Dog Rescue's (POMDR) primary mission is to be a resource and advocate for senior dogs and senior people. They find loving homes for dogs whose guardians can no longer care for them and for senior dogs in shelters. POMDR also provides volunteer and financial assistance so seniors can keep their pets with them as long as possible. Proceeds of this book will go to help POMDR fulfill their mission.And hopefully Bernie will inspire people to be compassionate and kind toward others.
