Melissa Febos es una escritora estadounidense de narrativa autobiográfica, ensayos y literatura de no-ficción, así como profesora universitaria especializada en escritura creativa y memoir. Ha publicado cinco libros: los memorias Whip Smart (2010) y The Dry Season (2025), además de las colecciones de ensayos Abandon Me (2017), Girlhood (2021) y Body Work (2022).

Girlhood se convirtió en un éxito nacional y obtuvo el premio del National Book Critics Circle en la categoría de crítica; Body Work también fue bestseller a nivel nacional y del LA Times.
