From the poet's first question: "Don't you see this scarlet trail is for you to follow?", to final rejoinder: "Now, every verb's electricity, every noun hangs in air-a sear all can hear, a talon grabbing at heart, carrying to mountaintop..." we are grabbed in our attempts to locate our source of hope when the ones we love set a flame in us. The sixty-six poems in this collection arose from the author's engagement with the sixty-six chapters comprising the Book of Isaiah in the Bible.
