Some of the earliest pioneers in photography were French, and using their photos from the 1850s and 1860s we can see how Baron Haussman’s sweeping changes from the 1870s eliminated parts of the old city. Written by two Paris-based tour guides, the book gives a vivid insight into how this elegant capital city has changed in the last 150 years.
