Believing that he is now just a forgotten entertainer of the past, Elvis has decided to reemerge from hiding in hopes of reuniting with his daughter, Lisa-Marie. While one man runs from being a father, the other dreams of becoming one again. A.J. and Elvis end up taking one of the strangest and funniest road trips in history, driving to Graceland, and then through Little Rock, Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Hollywood and beyond. As they travel the country, earning money through street performances and as part of an Elvis tribute band, A. J. teaches Elvis about all that he has missed, including major world events, the iPod, Starbucks, Viagra and the evolution of music since the day he disappeared. And along the way, Elvis helps A. J. understand the special happiness that comes from being a parent.
