Reseña del libro "Generosity: The Perfect Drug: 10 Incredible Benefits of Giving (en Inglés)"

DrugsAren't they wonderful? If you watch television, even for just a little while, you will see that there seems to be a drug for every issue under the sun. Many of which I have never even heard of. Whatever the issue, there is a drug to help. If you have a headache, are giving birth, are ill, can't breathe, have a chemical imbalance - no matter what there seems to be a drug that can help.Lucky us!That is until you hear the voice at the end of the commercial that has just extoled the virtues of the latest and greatest drug: "Side effects may include rashes, bleeding, high blood pressure, risk of clots, nervousness, paranoia, headaches, loss of sight, loss of hearing, incontinence, depression, suicidal thoughts, inability to swallow and more!"By the end of the disclaimer, you ask yourself, "Is the drug worse than the disease?"If only there was a perfect drug that didn't have these incredibly side effects.I have good news for you, there is! Yes, you read correctly, there is a Perfect Drug that has no side affects. A drug that cures many of the maladies that you and I suffer on a daily basis.Yes I know, I could hardly believe it myself. What is that drug? Well, you might laugh when I tell you. And legally I must add this disclaimer: the FDA has not cleared it as product they can support (or regulate). That drug is 'Generosity!"Stick with me friend. Let me explain how I concluded that Generosity is the Perfect Drug.My first inclination about generosity was from the belief that you might relate with: I gave, and thought everyone should give, because basically it was a good thing to do. Plain and simple! You know, the Golden Rule: "Do (give) unto others as you would have them do (give) unto you!"Or the other belief that spurred me to be generous, if I was to be completely honest was a bit more self-serving. Maybe if you were to be really honest you could relate with me and admit that you always, often or sometimes give for the following reason: "Give and it shall be given back to you!"This reason for giving is good. In fact, it is great. But, as I looked further into generosity I was pleasantly surprised to find there were HUGE benefits to giving. There are bigger reasons to give than just because it is a a good thing to do. Benefits that I can experience and benefits that others can experience. Benefits so great that an individual's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being improved when they gave. That is when I began calling Generosity The Perfect Drug. There are no negative side affects! No 'down side', to living generously. Yep, you read correctly! There is no risk of increased rashes, bleeding, high blood pressure, clots, nervousness, paranoia, headaches, loss of sight, loss of hearing, incontinence, depression, suicidal thoughts, inability to swallow....yada yada. There are only positive side affects. Ten of which I present in the following chapters: 5 benefits to others and 5 benefits to you!So, if you are interested in that kind of drug. Read on! One of my hopes is that by the time you are finished ready this book your giving meter will have been nudged up even if just a smidgen. However, the truth be told, my real desire is to start a movement, a Generosity Cartel if you will, with syndicates everywhere. A Cartel full of passionate believers who extol its virtues, demonstrate its impact, distribute it everywhere and get everyone hooked on it. Yep, in essence, you read correctly, it boils down to this: I am a drug dealer and I invite you to join me!
