(Mozambique, 1964) Es periodista de Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). Ha trabajado en Rádio Macau y la BBC, y ha sido colaborador permanente de la CNN. Con dos doctorados, realizados en Lisboa y París, ha sido profesor durante veinticinco años en la Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Como novelista ha sido distinguido con los premios a la mejor novela de las librerías Bertrand y del Portal da Literatura, el Prémio Clube Literário do Porto y el Prix Littéraire de la Lusophonie.
