René Goscinny (París, 14 de agosto de 1926-ibídem, 5 de noviembre de 1977) fue un guionista y editor de historietas francés. Goscinny es uno de los autores franceses de mayor éxito mundial, con más de 500 millones de libros vendidos, traducidos a más de treinta idiomas.

Fue cofundador y director de la revista semanal Pilote y ganó fama como guionista de varias historietas, trabajando con destacados dibujantes de Bélgica y Francia. Su creación de mayor éxito fueron las aventuras de Astérix el Galo, junto al dibujante Albert Uderzo (1927-2020) en Pilote (1959). Otros destacados trabajos suyos son las series Lucky Luke, El pequeño Nicolás y el Gran Visir Iznogud.

Alberto Aleandro Uderzo, más conocido como Albert Uderzo (Fismes, Marne, Francia; 25 de abril de 1927-Neuilly-sur-Seine, Altos del Sena, Francia; 24 de marzo de 2020), fue un dibujante y guionista de historietas francés. Su serie más célebre fue Astérix, junto con el guionista René Goscinny (1926-1977), cuya primera edición apareció el 29 de octubre de 1959 en la revista Pilote antes de ser publicada como álbum.
