Will some people be “left behind” when the prophesied “rapture” occurs? Are Christians going to escape the final, prophesied years of upheaval on the earth? Will believers be watching the events of the tribulation from heaven? Many evangelical Christians are convinced that these things are so. Author Nicholas Fisher, an evangelical Christian, is committed to fundamental doctrines such as salvation by faith, the divinity of Jesus Christ, Christ's bodily resurrection from the dead and his future Millennial reign, and a future for the nation of Israel as well as the Church universal. Nicholas was a convinced and ardent supporter and defender of the pre-tribulation rapture for twenty-eight years. In more recent years, he has re-examined the relevant scriptures in meticulous detail. In his reappraisal, he found the "politically-correct" understanding of the rapture in the evangelical world to be seriously wanting. This book critiques the common evangelical understanding of the timing of the rapture in relation to other future events prophesied in the Bible. "ALL LEFT BEHIND" is not an attack on any individual, denomination, ministry, or popular proponent of pre-tribulation thought: it's the product of many years of soul-searching, combined with an ardent desire to know what the Bible really does say about this subject. Caution: the resulting findings and conclusions may be rather challenging!
