This novel is the story of the one person who shouldn't have been included among the fatalities. Fred Young had a successful career in agricultural finance in Omaha, Nebraska, but his life felt empty. He had been pretending his entire life, believing in and trying to live the Great Mid-American Dream. When presented with the opportunity, he escaped from his previous life and embarked on a search for what he really wanted. 2605 is the story of how he started a new life with very little money, no friends, no family, no credentials, nothing.
