One of the greatest gifts the Father provides to the Church is that unique communion with the saints through the ages. Through their writings, musings, and instructions, we possess an opportunity to sit at the feet of the Church's most exemplary leaders, both men and women, who served as spiritual directors, church planters, bishops, Christian workers, mystics, poets, and excellent communicators of our faith. Their wisdom and courage enabled them to maneuver through tough times, strange doctrines, fierce persecution, and mind-numbing philosophies. Despite these challenges, they represented Christ with clarity, excellence, and grace and gave compelling testimony through persecution and challenge. We dedicate this unique Evangel Gathering, our Sacred Roots, Thriving in Ministry conference, to introduce you to an apprenticeship with these formers of our Faith. Join us as we follow their pattern of what it means to be lights in a crooked generation, both tenderhearted and tough-minded, and to offer practical wisdom on what it means to serve Jesus with honor through troubled times. Come, learn how to lead cohorts that humbly listen to and learn from these spiritual classics, allowing the authors of these works to equip us today to bear fruit for Christ in communities of poverty.
